For almost any cell-based assay, Scanlab II is an imaging system that renders perfect representations of any object.

With a total load capacity of 90 plates the system can run unattended for several hours. This makes it ideal for QC purposes, such as the ones used in vaccine production (eg virus quantification assay).

Scan lab can analyze cell based assays with both bright field as fluorescence microscopy images that requires a high reproducibility and high-quality images. The support plate can be adjusted to the size of your industrial object and the software is programmed to your requirements. The number of test you run is up to you.

The ScanLab Base Module is designed to automatically acquire sample images - biological or other origin. It can be used as stand-alone or can be extended with the ScanLab Automation Module for a higher sample throughput. The system is equipped with fully motorized optomechanical compo- nents to ensure the highest traceability towards the image analysis conditions.

Light Source

Different light sources can be installed, such as transmitted, reflected or fluorescent light.
The exact place and hardware belonging to the chosen light source will be adjusted to your requirements.

Can be fixed - telecentric lens with fixed magnification - or motorized Or with different zoom options, eg, stereo- or inverted microscopes.

Camera

Different camera types can be implemented, each will be installed with its own driver and firmware.
A driver enables the PC to recognize the camera, and the firmware ensures compatibility with possible software updates.

Computer

All components described above are connected to a computer via USB, RS232 or TCP/IP.
The computer consists of hardware, software, monitor, keyboard and mouse - build in to your system. The computer controls the camera, light sources, specimen stage and optical component -if it is motorized. The MAPx software will allow the user to work with well-defined workflows and will drive image acquisition and image analysis. The layout of the interface is designed with ease of operation in mind.

Housing

All components are enclosed in a housing to ensure that the housing stays closed while the system is running. Safety circuits are foreseen to shut down motor power in case of an emergency.

Specimen Stage

This is a motorized platform to move your sample to the optical component. A joystick can be fitted for manual control.

Automation module

Automation module

The ScanLab Automation Module is an option of the Base Module and is designed to increase the throughput allowing the system to run unattended. The robot can move in 4 or 5 axes and load or unload the samples. With a total load capacity of 90 plates, the system can run unattended for several hours. Specific to this system is the robot that has a fifth axis, to turn the microtiter plates to a vertical position for imaging - standing up.

The ScanLab Climate Module controls temperature, humidity, atmosphere (CO2, N2 or O2) or shaking of the plates. This can be adapted according to your needs. The right tools are essential. But only validated tools add value.
