Pascal Silversmet joins Microtechnix as Partner and Chief Business Development Officer

With 25 years at GSK Vaccines, Pascal Silversmet (47 years) has an impressive track record.  Among the various positions he held at GSK, he led the Lab Automation Team in the Research and Development Department, covering R&D centers at a global level, including the USA, Italy, Germany and Belgium.

Silversmet joined Microtechnix in December 2020, taking up the role of Vice President Sales, Services & Support.  The move provided him with the opportunity of continuing his passion and using his vast experience and expertise on integrating automated solutions into complex lab processes in big pharma companies.

Microtechnix (MTX – founded in 2012), specializes in the automation of laboratory processes. It develops products and software for laboratory environments, also offering advice and consultancy services. These include creating image analysis systems compliant with regulatory requirements, small and big lab automation platforms such as ELISA, cell-based assays, and more.

Microtechnix covers end-to-end process and workflow, from research and development to after-sales, such as hypercare, maintenance and repairs. The company has 21 staff members, including a remote customer support team in Ukraine. As of 2021, MTX has dozens of customers in more than 10 countries worldwide.
