Microtechnix specializes in the development of image-acquisition devices and image-analysis tools. We develop hardware and software to automate and simplify the way you run end-to-end processes. Which means you need less hands-on time and can focus on results. We make your applications more consistent, more reliable and more accurate than ever before.

Company history

MicroTechnix was established in 2013 with a mission to improve the speed and efficiency with which various imaging applications were performed. Founder Wouter Christiaens originally envisioned the company as a playground for engineers , but a powerful desire to provide scalable solutions to customers while encompassing technological advances lead to an application oriented company

In 2013, we began using Teach & Read technology to automate various lab processes. By 2019, we had also developed an approach that allows us to incorporate artificial intelligence. Both take the standards of accuracy and consistency in lab testing to new heights.
MicroTechniX has taken different approaches to optimising the quality of the optical equipment in their products. Depending on the intended use of our machines, we incorporate telecentric lenses or stereomicroscopy. More recently, Microtechnix developed a unique (patent-pending) optical system to fill specific imaging needs for the microbiology market.
