How It Works: Streamlined, Transparent, and Compliant

Select Your Sample Folder: Start by selecting the folder containing the Petri dishes you wish to analyze. Once negative results are validated, the system allows you to focus only on the positive plates, simplifying the review process.

Grid View with Status Indicators: The EMdi Viewer presents all plates in a customizable grid view, with a clear color indicator for each plate’s review status:

AI- or Operator-Generated Count with Visual Indicators: The system will show a count of objects (e.g., colonies) on each plate, with markers placed directly on the image to visually indicate the location and number of items. This visual and numeric representation ensures clarity and eliminates ambiguity in the counting process.

4-Eyes Principle for Accurate Review: Browse through the images to review and approve the results. You can either agree or disagree with the analysis provided by the AI or the operator. The 4-eyes principle ensures that every critical decision is verified, adding an extra layer of accountability and accuracy to the process.

Confirm or Dispute the Results:

- If you agree with the AI or operator’s result, simply confirm, and the file will be filed and results stored, making them immutable and ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 standards.
- If you disagree with the result, you will be prompted to provide a reason by selecting from a predefined list of possible motivations (e.g., “Incorrect colony count” or “AI misidentified colony type”). This feature maintains transparency and creates a clear audit trail.

Customizable Defect Listings: If necessary, you can add or remove colonies, cracks, mold, or other defects from a predefined list. This allows for highly reproducible results, ensuring you account for all relevant defects specific to your microbiology process.

Final Confirmation and Immutability: Once all the necessary information has been reviewed and added, the file can be saved and locked. At this point, the data can no longer be edited, ensuring the integrity of the record and fulfilling regulatory requirements for traceability and security.
