Opsonophagocytic and Serum Bactericidal assays Reading

Microtechnix provide a wide range of automated image capture and analysis systems to support bacterial functional antibody assays for the determination of colony-forming-units (CFU). 

Serum Bactericidal (SBA)  &  Opsonophagocytic (OPA) assays automatic reading

Microtechnix product range is able to read OPA & SBA in standard SBS plate format (6, 24, 48, 96  wells) 

SBA assays are used to measure the level of antibody in the serum required to kill a bacterium through complement activation.

OPA assays quantify the amount of serum antibody required to opsonize bacteria and undergo phagocytosis in the presence of complement proteins. The proportion of phagocytic cells that engulf the bacteria is measured using automated image analysis systems.
